Founded and led (2019-2023) the Open Voice Network, the Linux Foundation global community now defining, developing, and rolling out interoperability standards and ethical use guidelines for the emerging world of conversational artificial intelligence.
Led North American retail consulting (2013-2014) for Cisco Systems.
Headed worldwide retail, hospitality, and consumer goods sales (2000-2006, 2014-2018) for the Intel Corporation.
Served as a co-founder and core delivery partner of the future vision for retail that became the Metro Group Store of the Future Initiative, Germany, 2003-2007.
Envisioned and co-led a Hong Kong-based multi-company consortium that delivered the first China-to-Arkansas global RFID/EPC-enabled supply chain for the world’s largest retailer.
Served clients across multiple cultures and countries, with lengthy engagements in China, India, across the European Union, and throughout the Americas (South, Central, and North.)
Served as a technology and trend advisor to some of the world’s leading industry associations and standards bodies.
Led sales for a womenswear apparel brand to America’s leading department and specialty stores, negotiating assortment, volume, distribution, and gross margins with senior merchants.
These days, Jon advises clients and works with colleagues in Cochin, Dusseldorf, Amsterdam, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Tucson, and in his hometown of Portland.
